Drop-off and Parking Changes

January 13, 2022

Auburn High School families & staff,

Auburn High School administrators and staff are working to better control access to the school campus. Auburn students, families, staff and visitors should expect changes to drop-off and parking starting Tuesday, Jan. 18.

Outside of normal arrival and dismissal times, parking lots will have new strategic barriers and directional signs to aid in traffic flow. Please note the following guidelines:

Student parking: Students should access the student parking lot from N. Pierpont Avenue. Students will be required to check in with a security team before entering the parking lot and show both a valid Auburn-issued student ID and a valid parking pass hanging from the rear-view mirror. Parking passes are available in the Auburn High School finance office.

Student drop-off: Drivers dropping off or picking up students should enter the clinic parking lot from N. Pierpont Ave. Drivers will not be permitted to park.

Staff: Staff should enter from the Auburn Street staff entrance. Limited staff parking is also available in the clinic parking area, which is separated from student parking.

Visitors: All visitors must enter and exit from Auburn Street and park in front of the school’s main entrance. Visitor parking will not be permitted in any other areas, including areas designated for students or staff. Visitors to the Crusader Community Health Auburn Campus should park in the designated clinic parking lot.

What’s next: Please expect delays on Tuesday as this new traffic pattern is implemented. Students should arrive at school early to ensure they’re in class on time. Security precautions and parking lot traffic flow are regularly reevaluated at all RPS 205 sites with administrative and security teams. Other schools will share information and updates, as needed.

We appreciate your cooperation with these changes. Our priority is to keep Auburn High School students, staff and visitors safe at The Castle. Thank you for your patience and support these past couple of weeks.

Sincerely,

Jenny Keffer, Principal
Auburn High School
